Corvette Day
If you’re a car enthusiast, chances are you’ve heard of Cars and Coffee—casual gatherings where people come together to show off their vehicles, talk cars, and enjoy a cup of coffee. But how did this tradition start?
It began in the early 2000s in Southern California, when Barry Meguiar, founder of Meguiar’s car care products, hosted informal weekend meet-ups for fellow car lovers. These low-key events quickly gained popularity, growing into the global Cars and Coffee phenomenon we know today.
Now a staple in car culture, these events are free, family-friendly, and open to all types of vehicles—from vintage classics to modern supercars. More than just car shows, they’ve become a celebration of community.
Some gatherings, like those supported by Coffee Talk Therapy, also promote mental health by encouraging open, supportive conversations. Their involvement adds a meaningful layer to the experience—reminding us that connection and wellness are just as important as horsepower.
Whether you're there for the cars or the camaraderie, Cars and Coffee is more than a meet-up—it’s a movement.
