Finding Clarity, Connection, and Confidence Together
Hi, I'm Christina Richards-Brigman, Counseling Intern, currently completing my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, helping them navigate anxiety, depression, career transitions, workplace stress, relationship challenges, life changes, self-esteem concerns, and personal growth with greater confidence and clarity.
Before pursuing counseling, I spent more than 15 years in Human Resources, recruiting, employee relations, leadership support, and organizational development. Throughout my career, I had the privilege of helping people navigate career decisions, workplace challenges, professional transitions, and difficult conversations. Those experiences taught me that behind every job title is a person seeking purpose, connection, and the opportunity to thrive. That understanding ultimately led me to pursue counseling, where I could support people more deeply through life's personal and relational challenges.
I believe meaningful healing begins in a relationship built on trust, authenticity, and compassion. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, accepted, and supported as we work together to better understand your experiences, strengthen your relationships, develop practical coping skills, and move toward the life you want to create. Whether you're navigating a career change, relationship concerns, anxiety, or a major life transition, I look forward to walking alongside you with warmth, encouragement, and hope.
MY APPROACH
My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and conversational, creating a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves while also feeling supported and gently challenged toward growth. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions. I tailor each session to the unique needs, goals, and experiences of every client, believing that therapy is most effective when it reflects the individual sitting across from me.
In sessions, clients can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where they are encouraged to share openly and honestly. I strive to build genuine relationships grounded in trust, empathy, and respect while offering practical tools to navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, career transitions, workplace stress, and life's many changes. My hope is that each client leaves feeling heard, empowered, and equipped with greater confidence, resilience, and clarity as they move toward the life they want to create.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the local car community, and embracing my passion for reptiles. My husband and I own Reptile Riot, where we responsibly breed and care for reptiles, combining our love for animals with education and community. On weekends, you'll often find me attending Cars and Coffee Morrisville with fellow Mustang enthusiasts, enjoying great conversations and sharing a love for classic and modern performance cars. “I came to Christina feeling overwhelmed before a major interview, and she immediately helped me sort through my thoughts. She asked the right questions, got straight to the core of what was holding me back, and provided practical strategies I could use right away. I left feeling confident, prepared, and believing in myself again.”
