Finding the right therapist is less about credentials alone and more about connection. You should feel safe, respected, and heard without pressure to perform, explain, or be “fixed.” A good fit allows you to be yourself while gently challenging you to grow, offering support, practical tools, and collaboration along the way.

It’s okay to ask questions, trust your instincts, and take your time. Therapy works best when you feel comfortable showing up honestly and when your therapist’s style, values, and approach align with what you need right now. The right therapist won’t have all the answers—but they will walk alongside you as you find your own.
